RRRSI Board of Directors

The Board of Directors of Riverland Respite & Recreation Service Inc. is comprised of professionals in various fields, parents and community members. The Board meets on 10 occasions a year. We are proud to have a Board that has changed little over many years and is validated by the re-election of members at our Annual General Meeting. The vision of the Board is to ensure the ongoing financial viability of the service, to identify clear and achievable strategic goals and outcomes, provide quality support to our clients, their families, our staff and the broader community. We are committed to supporting the local business community by sourcing the majority of our business related items locally. The Board believes that the fabric of our community is our fellow community members, families, businesses and in order for people with a disability to achieve active Citizenship in their communities, we need to lead by example.

 

The Board is comprised of the following members

 

board; Parry Karlovassitis, Chairperson and Chiropractor. Parry has extensive experience in living with a person with a disability and the various challenges this brings. Parry has his roots in Berri. board

Pam Davis, Secretary. Pam has worked for many years at the Riverland Special School and lives with a family member with a disability. Pam resides in Renmark on a fruit block.





board Collis Marrett, Treasurer, Chartered Accountant for GPA Accounting Services in Berri. Collis adds an objective perspective to the overall management of our service, for both financial and operational matters. Collis lives in Monash. board Kristen White, Vice Chairperson, works as Coordinator of Learning Support at Waikerie High School. Kristen is a TAFE Lecturer and vocal advocate for training and employment matters in the disability sector. Kristen lives with a family member with a disability and is strongly connected to her local community of Waikerie
board Carol-Anne Zimmermann, Team Leader Aged Care, Riverland Community Health Services. Carol-Ann is a past Chairperson and brings a multitude of managerial and operational skills to the Board. Carol-Anne is instrumental in implementing various health projects in our region and has a keen interest in structural and systemic operations of an organisation. stefan Stefan Hirschi, Has worked in the Disability sector in the Riverland for over 13 years. Having worked as a Support Worker in Supported Accommodation, Day Options services, Recreation and Holiday services and Tenancy support has given Stefan extensive personal experience in the field. He worked for some time in the State Government in a capacity of Team Manager for Disability SA before finally moving into the Non Government sector and taking on his current role of CEO. He acquired a BA in Social Science (Habilitation from Charles Sturt University). Stefan has lived in the region for 25 years.
